On Friday morning we woke up early(ish) and headed to Cochem for our first castle tour. The first couple pictures are of the town and in the third you can see the castle in the distance. The sun was behind the castle which made it impossible to get a good picture, but it was a beautiful castle. More so from up close. It was built and destroyed a couple towns so the tour guide said it's more of a big chateau than big castle, but it was still great to tour. I would write more, but the tour sheets actually give good room descriptions in order. I can see why people build castles on hills. The view was beautiful.
