Halloween Festivities

We welcomed Audrey's inflatable BFFs back and she attended her preschool Halloween pumpkin patch party. Audrey is always simultaneously creeped out and intrigued by Halloween displays. She wants to get close, but not too close.

Audrey and I went to the Herriman Howl. I normally avoid crowds, but we went when it opened and it wasn't bad.

Mike, Sarah, and Steven continued their haunted house tradition and tried out a new one this year.

Audrey changed her costume so many times that we ended up running out of time to choose one. She decided to go with Zombie Cheerleader, which was easy enough. She went to her preschool party as a U of U zombie and then came to the HS to help me do the Trunk or Treat as a cheerleader from the Zombie movie. She decided I'd be a vampire. :)

For Halloween, Mike and Audrey carved a pumpkin that she had designed. They then went trick or treating with Steven. He was a guy from the Walking Dead. (I think)

Sarah and Steven decided to go to a HS party that ended up getting busted by the cops before they got there. Adam went trick or treating and got a decent amount of loot. I handed out candy to the masses. :)

Random October

Mike and I went on a hike up Millcreek to celebrate his birthday. I'm not going to lie, it was harder than I felt it should have been. :)

Audrey and I went to Classic skating and got really lucky winning a bunch of tickets. She bought this giant alien and we enjoyed hiding him around the house until he developed a giant hole and needed to return to outer space. (Via the garbage)

Our kittens have gotten huge! Part of the problem is their eating Diamond's Kidney food, which stimulates their appetites. They are funny cats and we've really enjoyed having them.

We visited Erik and decorated pumpkins for he and Lillian.

Steven played fall lacrosse with Mountain Ridge and his comp team The Warhawks. I really love watching this kid play. Someone got a great shot of him getting laid out. He bounced right back.

Girl's Trip to Estes Park

We didn't have any fall break plans, so Sarah and I decided to go to Estes Park and spend some time with my sisters. My mom came up for a day, but the weather was bad, so she didn't stay the night. We did a whole lot of nothing, and enjoyed it! Sarah introduced us to The Vampire Diaries and although she and I are "only" on the fourth season (It's the end of January as I type) Ashley binged it because she liked it so much. We learned from Audrey that you can buy a little bucket of duck feed at the rock shop, so we fed the ducks a lot.

There was a huge snow storm the night before we were supposed to leave, so we woke up super early and headed out. My tires needed to be changed, so I was white knuckling it. Thankfully, we made it safe to Loveland and the rest of the trip was a breeze.

Happy birthday Mato Face!

Our sweet baby princess turned the big 0-5 and we had fun celebrating her. She decided she wanted a unicorn cake, so Sarah helped me decorate it. We both laughed when she declared it, "The hardest thing she's EVER done."

Her party was all things unicorns. Pin the tail on the unicorn, unicorn pinata, unicorn grab bags, you get the pictures. :)

We barely made a dent in the cake

Audrey is an absolute joy to parent. She is hilarious! She is only five, and yet she has a BIG personality. She loves spending time with friends, still loves dinosaurs, and still has lengthy conversations with her dino Gray Dancer. Happy birthday baby Princess! We love you!!!

Sarah's Senior Pictures

We hired the lovely Kyla Weller to take Sarah's senior pictures. We thought we'd beat the spring rush by doing them in the fall, and are glad we did. They turned out amazing! There were around 100, so I'll just post some of my favorites. It was hard to choose, so there are a ton, but I'm sure no one will mind. Crazy to think this girl is almost an adult and will be going away to college soon. Boo! (Kidding, kind of) :)
