Steven the Lacrosse playing super star!

In the spring Steven attended a Lacrosse clinic and decided he wanted to try it. He loved it! It's a nice balance of baseball and football and he caught on quickly to the rules and how to. Mike and I are completely useless in helping him, since neither of us have played, but we support him in spirit. ;)

At his first game the other team was short players, so Steven played with them so they could at least make it a good practice. He is #52.

It was a lot of fun to see him play. He likes that it has some physicality like football, and we like that it isn't quite as jarring. Win/Win for everyone. :)

Random April

I feel like I'm a little lame at the cool mom game since Audrey has gotten here. A good example is April Fools day. Normally I try and do something. Anything. This year? Nothing. The kids were nice enough to "block" my exit from Audrey's room, so at least they haven't followed in my footsteps. ;)

Trio Blocks. Best toys ever! When I found out they were being discontinued I went to various garage sale sites and bought extra so I'd have a stash. The kids still play with them on a regular basis.

We've had a dead tree in our park strip for a couple years that we've been meaning to replace. After I picked up the kids I walked over to it and pushed on it to see how its roots were doing. It bent right over. I'll called Adam and his friends to come out and take care of it and they were more than willing. :)

Audrey is SIX months old!

Half a year people! Our baby is the big 0-6. It's crazy that this much time has already passed. Audrey still loves her feet. She can sit up like a champ. She likes solids. She continues to be a bundle of joy. I planned on weaning her this month, but both she and my body objected, so we're still at it. (with a few bottles in between) She has two beautiful teeth and a couple more coming in. (I'm writing this in May, so they've already popped through) Audrey isn't sleeping through the night, but we don't mind too much. (I need to start blogging right when she completes a month so I don't mix up milestones)

Even though the family pictures could have counted for her 6 month shots, we opted to still do a photo shoot. She has too many clothes to not do one. ;) This onesie says "Starlet" on it, so I just imagine it says Starley and we're set.

She saw Mike and got a little distracted.

Stats: Weight 13 lbs 8 oz (8%), Height 25.5 in (39%), Head 17.15 in (79%) She's obvious got some big brains in her.

Hanging with the Millers

My sister and her husband Dave decided to rent a really cool cabin called the "Scraggly Squirrel" near Brighton. They wanted to take their family skiing and since all their kids are free at Brighton it would be cheaper for them to rent a cabin and ski here, then skiing in Colorado. I completely supported this idea, because it meant I got to see my adorable cousins and have sister parent time. Score! My kids had school, but with great pressure from EVERYONE, I let them skip school on Monday. (My kids skip too much school and I can only play the military card so much)

Here are some pictures of the Scraggly Squirrel. It was so much fun! There is no way it would ever pass building codes, but was really eclectic and had so many fun details the kids kept finding and pointing out.

The kids ran wild playing inside and out. I tried not to think of the germs on the giant stuffed animals, because they were a dream come true for Adam. :)

Audrey had an up the back blowout shortly after this picture was taken. :)

Audrey got to try some banana bread. Not the best first food, but she loved it.

Kristal and Ashlyn came up and joined us for a day adding to the fun.

Thank you Millers for funding a mini vacation for my clan while Mike was gallivanting around the globe. ;)
