Happy Halloween!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Every year we let the kids pick a theme for our costumes. We were going to do Star Wars, and already had a couple costumes, but once Sarah started reading "Harry Potter" the kids quickly changed their minds. The kids have become what Mike lovingly calls "Harry Potter nerds" and we have spent many days casting spells and discussing the many plots and characters. We had a lot of fun assembling the costumes. Mike and I were supposed to have more for ours but we weren't planning on being in Utah for it and ran out of time. :)

Two nights before Halloween Andy and his fiance Amy came over with pumpkins for the kids to carve. Everyone had fun creating pumpkins. The boys are both in love with Amy, so they insisted she help them. :)

Our neighborhood had a Halloween party and the kids went to nine different houses doing activities. Here are the boys at a couple. Adam painted his pumpkin and then turned the pain brush on himself.

The kids had a costume parade at their school in the morning. Mike's parents joined us to cheer them on.

On Halloween we went to our friend Dan's mom's house for her annual Halloween party. It was good to see some friends.
