Random December

Wrapping up the year. Starting next year I think I made sure to add every picture I'd want. It will make my blog books really easy to make. :)

While in Colorado Adam decided to adopt this pink horse stuffy. He tries to bring it home every time we go, but we remind him it will be waiting for him every time we go there. Yes, we can say no to stuffed animals. ;)

Apparently Steven busted open his head while we were in Colorado.

Another pic of the two little twins. ;)

Isgett time!

Jeff and Lindsey visited us the day after Christmas for a ski vacation. Our kids were bummed their kids didn't come, but we still had a lot of fun with them. We got to break out the "Watch ya Mouth!" game which was as funny as everyone says it is. We had a great day skiing and hanging out with them. We're hoping they make it an annual tradition. :)

All he wants for Christmas is his THREE front teeth.

My kids really crack me up. They are all so different. (as three people should be) One way they're different is how they want their teeth pulled out. Sarah is a bit more...cautious. Steven just wants them out and Adam is a mixture of the two. He wants them out, but painless. Sometimes it's easier to inflict pain on ourselves, so he decided he'd pull out his own tooth.

Christmas in Colorado

In November we visited Erik's grave and brought a live tree to decorate. We're going to plant it in our backyard when it gets warmer and make it an annual tradition for as long as we have space. We also decorated our "Erik Tree" with lights. I loved looking out my window and seeing it.

It was my parents year to have us for Christmas. We couldn't take my car, so we somehow managed to fit all of us along with Christmas in Mike's car. We couldn't fit Adam's "poop" emoji, so he got it early. (He didn't mind)

Here are some pictures from Christmas morning.

Cool matching PJ's
The kids had a lot of fun playing with cousins. Sarah couldn't resist the opportunity to try on my wedding dress. It fits her a little better each year. (Which totally stinks)

Here is our Christmas card this year. When I put it together I realized a lot of our cute family pictures had foster kids in them, so we couldn't use them. Next year I'll have to kindly exclude them. :)

Wings over the Rockies Air and Space Museum

While in Colorado we met Mike's uncle Paul at the Air and Space museum. They have an X Wing replica from one of the Star Wars movies and the kids wanted to see it. The kids had fun in the simulator at the end. I'm sure they were all trying to crash.

These first two airplanes are especially cool to me because my Visitor Center director, Thales Derrick, flew both of these models back in the day.

Pre-Christmas Festivities

We continued our tradition of bell ringing for the Salvation Army. We found that our kids definitely have a time limit, but they enjoy handing out the candy canes and greeting people.

Here is a picture of the kids when we went to the Museum of Curiosity. Kids love photo ops. (Usually)

Our stake puts on a wonderful Christmas activity each year and this year our neighbors the Holts went with us. Sarah was glad that she was chosen to play Mary.

Sarah, Lynette and I continued our tradition of seeing the Nutcracker Ballet. This year we saw the Mountain West Production. It's a fun mommy/daughter date that I look forward to to each year. Sheryl and Lillian came with us as well.

Happy Birthday Princess!

Sarah turned the big 1-1 this year. That seems so much older than 10. She'll be 12 next year, which means she can go to the temple. CRAZY!

She's 4- 9", which means she's steadily gaining on my 5'7" inches.

For her cake she chose a death by chocolate chocolate cake in the shape of the number 11. It had three layers with plenty of chocolate in the middle. It was quite tasty.

Sarah is such a blessing to have around. She's now old enough to watch the boys while we run errands and takes the responsibility seriously. She's a great big sister to her brothers and a little mommy to any small child she can find. She still loves to read and we joke that we have to force her to put books down and play. She likes to run track and still loves playing piano. It's even been a while since there have been tears. We're lucky to be her parents. Now if she'd just stop growing up!
