Best Friends

A couple months ago Adam developed a host of phobias that he said weren't allowing him to sleep. We don't let our kids watch scary movies, but just hearing about things like Chuckie and Freddy Krueger scared him. Adam asked if he could sleep with Steven and being the great big brother he is, Steven agreed. At first Adam was just sleeping on Steven's bottom bunk, but for at least a month Adam has been sharing Steven's top bunk. (along with Adam's millions of stuffed animals)

Here's a picture of them in my room in April.

Last night it was Steven's turn to sleep with me while Mike was away on a trip. Adam asked if he could sleep with us and Steven let him share his turn.

Adam of course reciprocated when it was his turn the following night.

In May the boys wanted to have a sleepover in the living room so they moved the couch and brought down every stuffed animal they owned to play with. They insisted they be allowed to keep it for three days. Good thing I don't get stressed out by messes. Oh wait... ;)

I'm glad my boys have each other. They like to have friends over to play with, but they always include each other in their activities.
