Sarah's 1st interview, and other news

*Grandparent Blog

Yesterday was Hogle Zoo's 1st annual "Fairy Tails." They had professional story tellers come, and encouraged the kids to dress up. Sarah wore her Kanga costume, with her Cinderella dress over it. Not many kids dressed up, so Sarah got a little attention. A reporter from Deseret News interviewed her at the end, and you can read the article HERE. Our neighbor gave us a copy of the paper so we have it in print.
I think Sarah's favorite part is when we put a "leash" on Steven and she got to walk him. She got upset if we picked him up. It was really cute.

Ever since Mike went on his week long training, Sarah has been sneaking into bed with us around 3 AM. We used to notice, but I think we got used to it, and she got better at it, and we haven't noticed, BUT we wanted our bed back. We decided to buy her a big girl bed, and she has slept the last two out of three nights in it. I need to set up the frame still, but Sarah, and Steven, love to play on it and in it. Now Mike can snuggle in her bed, instead of on her floor. :-) She refuses to use the pillow with a normal pillow case, and insists on the less comfy "fancy" one. Here she is as Aurora after pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. (the top of her light)

Here is another "sleeping beauty." We bought a big book of the Princess stories that is pretty much word for word of the movies and has chapters, so now she really has them memorized and we play princess ALL day. yay! ;-)

Steven decided that he now wants to feed himself, and he isn't bad at it. He gets really upset if we try to feed him, so I try and get a couple bites in and then turn the reigns over to him.

Mike's brother Andy came over to play with Sarah last week and it was so windy that his kite lasted 5 seconds, and hers lasted about a minute. We locked ourselves out of the house, so Andy let Sarah drive around our neighborhood, which is a circle, and he let her drive for the most part. And in case any one was wondering, he did win the 2008 Sexy in Salt Lake contest, so thanks to all who voted for him.

That was so fun reading about Sarah at "Fairy Tails". How cute. I love her bed too! Hopefully you weren't locked out of your house too long!

Mike makes a wonderful princess! ;-)

We were locked out for about an hour and a half, but it wasn't too bad. My shower was just delayed a bit.

we really do need to get together to play princesses...I get so bored with it and Malia NEVER does so it would be nice to have another little girl over who can go at it with her for as long as they want!!
