Mike's U of U Football game flyover

On the 10th Mike had the opportunity to do a flyover of the University of Utah vs Oregon game. It's something he's wanted to do for a long time. They timed the takeoff so they would arrive during the National Anthem. They were a little ahead of schedule, but they still made it. After they landed they hurried to the game. They U had donated over 20 tickets for them, their crew and some family members. I drove the boys to Mike's base so they could go to the game with him. Sarah, Audrey and I watched Hallmark movies. ;)

Both Mike and the other pilot are U of U grads. They had them come down onto the field and recognized them at half time. The boys also got some attention from the Oregon Duck, which was fun for them. We won the game, which is always a huge bonus.

Here're a video from their boom operator. They were running ahead of schedule so they had to do S turns to try and eat up some time.

Here's video someone took of their flyover from the stadium

Audrey's second week

Audrey's second week went a lot like her first, except Mike wasn't home the whole time. Thankfully, my parents came to visit and they were a big help with the older kids. (While I horded time with Audrey) We took lots (and lots) of pictures. I tried taking some newborn photos a few times and then realized it would be better to just pay a professional. Those pictures will get their own post.

We put Audrey in her alpaca outfit, so we of course had to take pictures of her on her alpaca blanket.

And...she was done

Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Bonk

Spending more time with Dad...

I'm sure she was VERY helpful during Mike's practice.

She also spent lots of time just being cute. Isn't very hard for her.

Audrey's newborn photos

I wanted to get Audrey's newborn pictures done, but I refuse to pay $300-$400 on pictures. I know it's time consuming to take them, but I'm cheap. ;) A friend of mine, Colette Fowler, mentioned she takes them and only charges $50/half hour. (I'll admit that when I first read it I didn't notice the half hour part and thought I was getting them for $50, which was cheap.) She takes them in her house and I was incredibly happy with how they turned out. I never thought I'd want "naked baby pics", but we're breaking all sorts of rules with Audrey. :)

I took a couple pictures of the scene just to show how pros do it and how I have no idea what I'm ever doing. :)

Audrey's first week

Audrey's first week can be summed up in pictures. Since Mike had the week off, they spent most of it together. Sleeping. The boys commented to Mike a few times, "We didn't know you liked babies!" Mike let them know he likes HIS babies. He's always been a super dad, especially with our newborns. It has been fun to see him back in this mode. Once the kids get out of school they sit around waiting for the chance to hold her. No one can get enough of her baby cuteness. :)
