Florida Part 7- Animal Kingdom, AKA Coolest DW Park Ever!

We saved the best for last. On Tuesday we visited Animal Kingdom. This usually isn't everyone's favorite, but it was definitely ours. We'd heard the Avatar ride was busy, so headed straight there when we arrived. We hurried there but we were still an hour from the front of the line. It was worth every minute! They created the line to be able to accommodate a six hour wait. Everything was really detailed and interesting. The ride, AMAZING! It simulated you riding on a Banshee and the seats you're in even simulate it breathing while you grip the sides. We got in line later and did it again. Definitely the highlight for all of us.

Steven continued to find lizards all over the park which kept him entertained and happy. We rode a couple other rides in the park. Fun, but no Avatar.

The kids LOVED the safari. They had some cool animals to look at. They kept pointing and insisted I take a picture of everything. It was a great day.

Florida Part 6- Universal Studios

When we were planning out which park to attend each day we had to take into account the weather. Since so many Universal Studios rides are inside CGI's we chose to visit Universal on the days it was raining. We still had a lot of fun and were glad we had rain gear.

Florida Part 5- Sunday- Courthouse and Orlando Temple

On Sunday we went to church at a local ward and then drove to the Kissimmee, Florida courthouse where Mike and I were married on April 21, 2004. It was fun taking the kids back there. As I've said many times, it was without a doubt the best impulse decision we ever made. :)

Part 4- Epcot and Swimming

On Saturday the 21st we went to Epcot. This was the only park Mike and I ventured into when we got married, so we had to go back. There was a wine and cheese festival going on and it was a mad house. There were SO MANY people there. They all had matching shirts of the different countries so they could mark off where they'd drank from. We didn't want to stay long because of the crowds, so we visited a few countries, quickly took the mandatory picture retakes and went back to our hotel to swim.

Florida Part 3- Hollywood Studios

On Saturday the 20th we went to Hollywood Studios. It was fun and we enjoyed all the usual rides. Steven continued his lizard hunting and at the resort he found a frog to call friend. :)
