I'm not sure if it's common knowledge, but Mike and I eloped on a trip to Disney World in 2004. (April 21, 2004 to be exact) We've wanted to go back, but plane tickets for a family of five mixed with park tickets have kept us from doing it before. We wanted to make sure the kids were tall enough for the rides. FINALLY, they were tall enough, so we made plans.
We stayed at the Shades of Green Resort, which is a Disney World resort for military personnel. (and government people, and people that know people affiliated with people...) It was a great resort. We bought a breakfast meal plan for the buffet and after a few days of eating wonderful food the kids were all sick of it but we were still paying for the full shebang. It was good food though.
We spent two days at Universal and Four at Disney. We started at Universal since we all wanted to see Harry Potter World. It was pretty fabulous. WAY bigger than California's. Adam was bummed he was too short to go on one of the rides and got stuck in a twirly ride with me. We tried to spike his hair tall, but he was barely under and they wouldn't budge. I think it was the hulk ride. Only ride he was too short for. Since we were pretending to be in England, Mother Nature decided to give us the royal treatment and it rained really good. I'm glad we brought our rain coats. :)
